BSS is the musical alias of Amsterdam-born and raised Luigi Vittorio Vromen. Informed by his deep knowledge of music history, his ever-evolving sound moves eff ortlessly between 80s minimalism, synth percussion, electro, and many other styles. He has a unique ability to draw on common motifs and sounds from unrelated genres, blending them into something that feels both unexpected and timeless. His fascination with modular synthesis further expands his sonic palette, adding layers of depth and unpredictability to his music.
Elevating crowds with carefully crafted mid-tempo selections has earned BSS quality shows across Europe, the US, Asia, and the Americas. He had the honor of closing out the fi nal New Year’s Day party at the legendary De School, cementing his place in the club’s storied history with a set that resonated long after the lights came on. In addition to striking releases on esteemed labels such as Dekmantel and Hivern Discs, he is currently putting out a wave of music through his own imprint, BSS AMS. Alongside his DJ work, BSS has also delivered several live performances for institutions such as Dekmantel, further showcasing his versatility and deep musical vision.
